Because modern storytelling has hijacked a lot of words, I'm prefacing this article with some definitions I use: Evil = knowingly benefiting from harm done to others. Demon = any entity who enlists evil practices by way of natural selection. Idiot = a person who has the capacity to learn but refuses to. Idiots are often evil folks who aren't systematic enough to get evil to work for them, as a demon would. Positively aligned = benefits society more than harms society. Negatively aligned = harms society more than benefits society. Top-Down Charity = providing some relief to desperate people instead of working to provide level-footing for everyone, so they are all taken care of equally. (Used as a PR stunt to make evil folks look good.) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Okay... now that we have those terms squared away, let me use them to demonstrate what I mean... Not only is Keanu Reeves evil, I would go so far as to call him demonic. "Devil's Advocate"... indeed. Keanu Reeves sells sensationalized gun violence, while knowing it causes more violence in society. He pockets the money he earns via spreading his brand of violence and desperation (like an unmanaged STD) and then doles his ill-gotten gains out to desperate kids in order to look like a good guy. Right now... (since 2020) guns are the leading cause of death for kids under 18. Toddlers... Infants... preschool kids... dying by guns - while at the same time Keanu Reeve's pockets the money our violence addicted society shovels out to him (these shovelers are mostly idiots - see definition above). In 1996 a tiny federal budget line item made it nearly impossible to study the causes or effects of gun violence. No doubt, this made the demon's work easier, and made it seem plausible for him to deny his effect upon society. But folks did keep studying, and the numbers kept revealing the same thing... gun violence on TV and in the movies is directly correlated to the mass shootings and other gun related violence we see on the rise in nearly every city. https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2024/03/06/1235409642/gun-violence-prevention-research-public-health "None of the funds |
