Knight to King's Pawn

She moves like no other
alternating from light to dark
hopping, skipping, jumping over pieces
as if she were some kinda lark

Moving in tandem
between darkness and light
always seeing everything with that
advantaged sight

She moves in the open
yet always comes as a surprise
tho she often brings
the instrument of your very demise

She moves with purpose
integrity and pride
and for no one will she ever
step aside

For she moves for the children
both born and unborn alike
and only for a purpose
does she strike

Moving with kindness
compassion and love
she moves
for a justice
no one can ever dispose of
