Both Marx and Einstein warned us about it, the unrelenting drain that is capitalism, and about the corporations who would eat us whole - if we let them. Even the pretend hero of eight Mission Impossible movies, Tom Cruise (who is still complicit BTW in much of the terrible stuff Scientology has gotten up to), tried to warn us about their weaponization of psychology and pharmacology. But we were too busy being entertained by fake deaths and criminals without limits. Our collective history is coming closer and closer into view, and most of us are disgusted by what we see, by what we've participated in. To those of us still in the fight - still working to raise everyone's boat together - I'd like to remind us all of a famous French saying that seems very apropos right now, Il faut reculer pour mieux sauter. It means 'you have to step back to jump better'. Every day we are bombarded with terrible news about how capitalism and rouge governments have destroyed our future. But they haven't destroyed it - instead - they have done a huge service by showing us who the rats are - and more importantly, how they operate. As the old systems are sinking - we watch as the rats scurry to abandon the ship (with as much cash as possible). While at the same time, good folks, hard working folks, unrelenting folks focused on the future - a positive future for everyone - are working tirelessly to build new systems, new ways of governing that will include God's highest command - His only real commandment... Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Mais où sont les neiges d’antan? But where are the snows of yesteryear? While we may get nostalgic about the past, we must always remind ourselves that the past was always a lie, and the privileges we got used to almost invariably came at someone else's expense. But we can and will do better, and the prosperity we achieve will be universal, without guilt, without shame, and in knowing The Kingdom of Heaven is within us all. These have been dark and heavy days, and yet, when we look we can clearly see the collective spark being shared from one soul to the next, more contagious than any virus, more infectious than hope... The dawning of The Age of Aquarius (and its focus on brotherhood and connections) was never going to be easy, as we usher out the old damaged ways. But in the coming, we will all feel as refreshed, as renewed, as if God Himself breathed life into us anew. The whole world is reaching out for better. It's calling out from soul to soul, and the collective heart song has been answered. Do you hear the drums toll? Namaste, The Storyteller Corinthians (26) Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. (27) But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. (28) God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, (29) so that no one may boast before him. (30) It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. (31) Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”
